Christian Education
The Christian Education (CE) committee organizes and monitors the different educational programs in the church such as Vocational Bible School (VBS); Sunday School; Wednesday Morning Bible Study; Youth Group; and Small Group Studies. CE sponsors workshops designed to help the volunteer teachers. Many years of experience and an excellent curriculum are available.
PW (Presbyterian Women)
The purpose of the Presbyterian Women's Association is to nurture faith through Bible study and support the mission of the church worldwide. Members are invited to join groups called "Circles". Dorcas Circle meets the second Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the home. Miriam Circle meets the first Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
Bible Studies
There are several bible studies offered by the First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury. These studies provide an opportunity to learn several aspects of the bible while also providing an opportunity to fellowship. The men's breakfast is one study scheduled for Sunday mornings prior to Sunday School. Bible studies are also offered at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday mornings and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings. All are welcome.
Choir
The Choir members range in age from 12 to 70+. New members are always welcome and may join simply by attending rehearsals Wednesday evenings at 5:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary (September through May).
